Bachata Classes
Start dancing bachata! Open level bachata classes on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in Mayfield, Newcastle.
What is Bachata?
Bachata is a romantic partner dance from the Dominican Republic, known for its sensual style and four-beat rhythm, three steps and a tap. Our open-level classes welcome everyone, pairing you with a partner at a similar experience level so you can learn comfortably. We start with a warm-up, then focus on the essentials: basic steps, turns, and partner connection.

Our goal is to build a strong foundation in musicality and connection before moving into more complex techniques. As you improve, we’ll guide you into more advanced steps and styling, following the same teaching approach we use in our Cuban and Linear Salsa classes.
